December Birthstones

If you have a birthday in December you have a choice of three birthstones,  Tanzanite, Zircon or Turquoise

Turquoise was the original December birthstone, it is one of the oldest gemstones and it is considered to represent strength, protection from harm, psychic sensitivity and connection to the spirit world. If given a turquoise by a loving friend, that stone would protect the wearer from negative energy and bring good fortune. The turquoise is the symbol of friendship. It also brings peace to the home. This stone is a very personal and meaningful. is an opaque, blue-to-green mineral. It is rare and valuable in finer grades and has been prized as a gemstone and ornamental stone for thousands of years owing to its unique hue.

Zircon is especially admired for its attractive blue colors, The most brilliant blue gemstone is undoubtedly Zircon. Blue zircon meaning is to help repel negativity, invite more happiness and love into the lives and to support during spiritual healing. Zircons are some of the oldest stones that have been used on the planet, and the meaning of their name dates back to an ancient Persian word.

Taznanite,  is the blue and violet variety of the mineral zoisite belonging to the epidote group. The gemstone was discovered by Manuel d’Souza in the Merelani Hills of Manyara Region in Northern Tanzania in 1967, near the city of Arusha and Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite is only found in Tanzania,is rare. The ancients believe that the gemstone offers wearers a special pathway to the spiritual realm, activates Chakras from the heart and is a stone that brings visions to the wearer.
